What are Wax Melts and how do I use them?
Our Wax melts are highly scented cubes of wax that release fragrance when heated. Unlike candles they are wickless so need heating in either an electric melt warmer or tealight burner. Wax melts can be a beautiful alternative to candles to fragrance your home, especially if you like to frequently change scents.
Not all burners are the same, a melt warmer needs a good size plate on top for the wax to melt safely and around 10cm space between your tea light and the base of the burner. This will ensure the fragrance and burner doesn’t get to hot and burn your fragrance or damage your burner.
How to use your new addiction!!
All our wax melts come in resealable clamshells. To keep them at there best keep them away from direct sunlight and heat sources. To use break off one or 2 cubes (dependant on the strength you like) and pop them into the top of your tealight burner or electric warmer.
If using a tealight burner, please only use a MAXIMUM 4 hour unscented tealight and burn for no longer than 4 hours. The larger ones could cause your burner to become dangerously hot and crack!
Remember to keep your burner & melts away from children and pets and never move it whilst hot.
Changing your wax
As your melt does not have a wick the fragrance is released by the warming from the burner. Your wax will not evaporate, so you simply rewarm until you can no longer smell your fragrance (Or you fancy a change) then its time to replace the wax.
If you push on your wax when its in a solid state often it will release away and you can just pop it in the bin. Alternatively light a tealight for around 30 seconds and slide the wax out and give it a wipe. Finally you can place cotton wool balls in the wax when at full liquid and it will soak right up.
Please never scrap with a knife it could scratch and damage your burner.
